What is UpcycleCHQ Maker Pilot Program?

UpcycleCHQ Maker Pilot Program is a community-driven maker initiative focused on turning reusable materials into real products and opportunities.

We’re activating local makers wherever they are and connecting them with reusable materials like:

  • fabric scraps
  • feed bags
  • denim
  • upholstery scraps
  • reusable materials already in our community

Selected makers will create reusable products such as:
– Reusable bags
-Storage items
-Simple sewn products
other practical reusable products

This is about more than reuse.

It’s about exploring:

  • local production
  • practical skills
  • creativity
  • community collaboration
  • micro-enterprise opportunities

How the Pilot Program Works

1. Materials Are Collected

Reusable materials are gathered from businesses, organizations, and community members.

2. Makers Are Activated

Local makers sign up and receive access to reusable materials and pilot opportunities.

3. Products Are Created

Makers create reusable products from materials that would otherwise go to waste.

4. Products Are Promoted & Showcased

Finished products and maker stories are shared through UpcycleCHQ and community showcases.
